Hi Steve,
Further to your telephone call of today regarding the above, I confirm that we can offer the following rally rate:
VALIDITY: THURSDAY 29th APRIL - MONDAY 3rd MAY 2010
Motorcycle, Rider & Pillion £25.50 return
Additional passenger £ 8.20 return
Trailer (up to 2m) £21.50 return
Each additional half metre or part thereof £ 7.20 return
The rates are valid for travel on the Portsmouth/Fishbourne and Lymington/Yarmouth route, with no restriction on sailing times and subject to availability.
CONDITIONS
The special rate is subject to availability.
Three-wheeled cars, e.g. Reliants are charged as ‘cars’.
Three-wheeled Motorcycles/Scooters and Combinations will be charged as Motorcycle/Scooter.
BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS
As in previous years, bookings in advance are recommended (due to the number of motorcycles travelling over this weekend) and this can be arranged by contacting our Reservation Office on 0871 376 1000. The customer should mention at time of booking that they are attending the 'Gurt Gallybagger Motorcycle Rally'. Payment is required at time of booking.
For those who do not make a booking, payment will be required on day of travel upon presentation to the ticket office of their rally admission ticket, and space on the ferry is subject to availability.
It was brought to my attention last year that staff at our Lymington Terminal were subject to abuse from some riders. As there was an hourly service there was some waiting involved and I think a few got frustrated with the wait. For those riders who do not book in advance, they will be put in a standby lane and will travel when space is available on the ferry.
I am aware that there is also another rally taking place on the Island the same time as yours and I will also be mentioning this to the organizer of this rally. It has been reported that in the past the riders have been fantastic so they were surprised by the problems they encountered last year.
I would like to bring to your attention the following information on our Cancellation/Refund policy.
Alterations to Bookings. All alterations requested by you to a booking or reservation are subject to availability. The first alteration to a booking will incur no charge. Any second or subsequent changes will incur a £5 administration charge.
Credit Card Payment Save time by paying for your tickets when you make your reservation. MasterCard, American Express and Visa credit and debit cards are all accepted as well as Maestro.
Refunds and Cancellations Applications If you wish to cancel your booking or reservation after we have confirmed your booking, you should inform us as soon as possible. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the date of departure by telephoning the Call Centre on 0871 376 1000; by email bookings@wightlink.co.uk or by writing to Wightlink. If you cancel, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee on the scale seen below:
Date of notification
Cancellation Fee
More than 7 days before outward sailing date
£10
Between 7 days and 24 hours in advance of outward sailing date
£20
Please note: Refunds will not be considered on bookings that a customer has failed to cancel; on part-used tickets.
I trust this is of assistance, but should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards.
Maria
